SDL Wins Three Air Force SBIR Awards

SDL has won two Phase II SBIR awards and one Phase I SBIR award from the Air Force. The Phase II awards are focused on improving the performance of radar based automatic target recognition (ATR) systems. SDL has teamed up with SAIC to develop innovative analysis tools and prediction technology to improve the generation and applicability of synthetic radar signatures. The three key benefits these SBIRs offer to the ATR community are:

Statistically accurate, computationally efficient modeling of ground clutter-target interaction for Rayleigh and Kirchoff scattering.
Tools to map classification performance back onto the EM modeling and validation process
A method to define inherent separability of target classes from their 3D scattering phenomenology

The Phase I SBIR explores data fusion techniques that are applied to non-destructive evaluation of data.
